This is a serious racing yacht. Not only is she the Race version of the Grand Soleil 44, which won the Worlds and European IMS Championships in 2002, but she was also sporting a brand new carbon mast and new standing rigging when I went on board.
As might be expected, she has an extremely comprehensive sail wardrobe, with a new main and genoa fitted in 2008. In total she boasts 2 mainsails, 4 foresails and 4 spinnakers.
I found her clean and dry and in really good order. Nothing on this boat was out of place - she was incredibly ship-shape and tidy from her cockpit lockers on up. She also looks great and her Webasto heating ensures an efficient dry-out after those wetter racing days. This is a high performance yacht and she is really ready to race.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
